Bright Mild Steel VS Bright Stainless Steel

Bright steel refers to the steel bar with a bright surface without rolling defects and decarburized layer. It is made from annealed hot rolled steel through cold drawing, peeling, polishing and other surface treatment, offers high dimensional accuracy and good surface quality.

The pearlitic structure of high purity carbon low alloy steel can be bright steel, including mild steel, free cutting steel, bearing steel, tool steel, stainless steel and so on. 

It can be subdivided into flake steel, polish steel and buff steel material according to the processing process Flake steel refers to a round steel bar that is straightened after removing surface rolling defects and decarburizing layer by turning. Polished steel is the round steel that is polished after drawing or peeling. Buff steel refers to the round steel bar that has polishing processing after pulling out, turning and peeling, or polishing. The peeling and polishing process can effectively remove the decarburization layer, surface cracks and various external defects, and are widely used in machinery and equipment manufacturing, electronics, petroleum, chemical industry, automobile, railway, shipbuilding, aerospace, nuclear power and other industries.

Bright steel can be used for a variety of purposes, such as wear-resistant bolts, spindles, piston rods, spokes and similar parts, and can be used as tool steel when quenched. In addition to material and size, bright steel is usually delivered with accuracy (tolerance), bending (straightness) and surface roughness requirements. the details of  tolerance are shown below:
