ASTM A234 is Standard Specification for wrought or forging steel pipe fittings includes carbon and alloy steel material for moderate and high temperature services. These pipe fittings include Tee, Concentric reducer, eccentric Reducer, 5D/6D bend, elbow, unions, plugs, cross tee, pipe cap and nipple, ect for use in pressure piping and in pressure vessel fabrication for service at moderate and elevated temperatures.

The letter P refer to the number of alloy material and ASTM A234 WP9 Alloy Steel Pipe Fittings are a type of commonly used Cr-Mo Series pipe fittings.
